Berry Street adheres to all Telehealth licensure laws and regulations to ensure compliant provider-patient matching. We match patients based on the criteria below and can adjust your state preferences upon request at [email protected].

Licensure Matching Criteria:

  • Open States: All non-licensure states: Arizona, California, Colorado, New Jersey, Michigan, Virginia

  • Licensure title protection & Open for Telehealth: Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Texas.

  • All Other States: Reviewed case by case

These licensure guidelines have been updated in January 2026 in accordance with the Academy's Telehealth Laws and Guidancearrow-up-right What is Title Protection? Title Protection: Providers may offer nutrition counseling and MNT without a state license, but cannot represent themselves as licensed or use protected titles (e.g., “Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist”) unless licensed in that state. This means the work itself is allowed, but the title is restricted.
