Idaho

  • If your patient is physically in Idaho, you generally need an Idaho license before providing virtual care.

  • You may be exempt from Idaho licensure (if you’re licensed and in good standing in another U.S. state) only when one of these applies:

    • You already have an established relationship and the patient is temporarily in Idaho (work/school/travel, etc.).

    • You’re providing short-term follow-up to ensure continuity of care.

    • You’re credentialed/privileged through an Idaho facility/hospital you work with.

    • You’re providing care during a disaster, plus follow-up for continuity.

    • The visit is prep for a scheduled in-person appointment.

    • You’re consulting with or referring the patient to an Idaho-licensed provider.
