Idaho
If your patient is physically in Idaho, you generally need an Idaho license before providing virtual care.
You may be exempt from Idaho licensure (if you’re licensed and in good standing in another U.S. state) only when one of these applies:
You already have an established relationship and the patient is temporarily in Idaho (work/school/travel, etc.).
You’re providing short-term follow-up to ensure continuity of care.
You’re credentialed/privileged through an Idaho facility/hospital you work with.
You’re providing care during a disaster, plus follow-up for continuity.
The visit is prep for a scheduled in-person appointment.
You’re consulting with or referring the patient to an Idaho-licensed provider.
