# Credentialing and CAQH Maintenance

You will be credentialed through Berry Street. This is required to serve insurance patients through our contracts with major payers. Once credentialed and contracted with an insurance plan, you are considered in-network, and must maintain appropriate licenses, CAQH attestation, and liability insurance in order to remain in-network and in compliance with insurance laws and regulations

Credentialing verifies your professional qualifications—like education, licensure, and liability insurance—to ensure you meet professional and legal requirements. Your Credentialing status with Berry Street enables you to work with insurance patients through Berry Street only.

**Why credentialing matters:**

* Enables in-network access for patients (Aetna, Cigna, UHC, BCBS; Medicare expected late 2025)
* Ensures compliant, legal care delivery
* Reduces out-of-pocket costs for patients
* Confirms your clinical expertise
